I mean, let's face it, they're all thousands of years old have turned more hot virgins in to trees than your average mortal has had hot dinners. and even their minders can be pretty badass. but right here, right now, everyone present is bound by the highest authority to TELL NOTHING BUT THE TRUTH to whoever that asks it of them...

[ Barachiel tends to avoid his brothers and their minders. Not because he dislikes them in any way, shape or form; no, he loves them each and every one. In fact, he likes quite a lot of them, too. But he's not a fan of their occasional criticisms and their questions as to what he does when he's away.

Still, a small smile is crooked for Raphael. He's always been very aimable, when the mood strikes him. Barachiel is, in many ways, very near to human in that respect. ]

Hello, Barachiel. [There's a far more open smile in place of the usual deadpan expression on Raphael's face when he senses Barachiel approaching. It isn't that he doesn't know how to smile, or that he doesn't feel contentment far more often than his brothers, Gabriel and Michael. But his time with humans is in their pain, their grief, their moments of desperation when they need healing. He doesn't mind not seeing smiles as much as long as he can see the grimaces and the tears and the pure agony ease away. In that respect, maybe he is more like Barachiel than he is his other brothers.]

It's been a while.

[ It's Raphael who lays his hands upon them and offers up succor to the sick and the dying in their time of need, but it is Barachiel who hears so many of their prayers — filtered in through the recesses of his mind from the heavenly host of guardian angels meant to watch over mankind. In that way, yes, they are very much alike when compared to the rest of their brothers. It means that Raphael garners a warmer welcome than others. There is a touch of something — sheepishness perhaps — at the greeting. An acknowledgment of distance and time apart. ]

Too long? [ he asks. His voice is kind. ]

[He wanders as far and wide as some of his other travelling brothers do in order to heal people, but he's also part of the law firm Gabriel heads up and that requires him to allocate a certain amount of time to staying in Oxford. So, when he's there, he can't help but miss the brothers he has out in the world.]
