OFFERING: MASTERS AND APPRENTICES

STEVEN | He's a relatively easygoing, realistic and dry-humor fellow, and has been deaf since a car accident that killed his mother. A power that has something to do with silence would be wondahful. Steven does not dress to impress and does not get involved in conflict. I see him as a master!

LEWIS PUCKETT | A twin. Systematic, sometimes isolated, can be very charming when he isn't feeling threatened. Bullshit-free relationships roll with him the best. His power could have to do with identity. I see him as either an apprentice or a very recent master, preferably working with a female apprentice.

FINCH KINKEL | Ruthless, manipulative, full of smiles and backstabbing. I see him working as an ambitious lawyer you do not want to mess with. A power that has something to do with life force. Apprentice who is very much messing around with his master, male or female.

DEXTER PATREVERETT | Organized, tense and running on very good instincts. Bodyguard for big names of the political world, used for his skills more than for his muscles. Something that has to do with time or souls? I see him as a very green apprentice who still has to be pulled together by his master.

PATHOS | Who I've never... given an actual name. BUT THAT CAN BE ARRANGED. Quiet man, kind of an emotional wreck but very, very dedicated to whichever God has him under their wing. Power related to empathy. He can either be an apprentice or a master with a very deep emotional connection to his counterpart.

NORTH BLANCHARD | Impatient, candid, focused, grumpy. Used to work for the government as a secret agent! And was pushed to some desk work until his master picked him up. Having inherited the title since, he is very skilled at keeping secrets secret and even prouder of that fact. His apprentice will be constantly reminded of how awesome he is and how obeying the rules is SO INCREDIBLY COOL. Faint-hearted apprentices needn't apply. If you don't mind getting your kid smacked upside the head for talking back, he's your man. A power related to illusion or secrets.

MILEN | SUCH AN APPRENTICE IT HURTS. Curious, naive, genuine and thoughtful. Sees the best in everyone, is enthusiastic, tireless and dedicated. The kind of person who, when given a task, will not stop until he sees it through. A power related to love would suit him beautifully.

aw aw I think this would be lovely. Milen will try to fill up Daphne's life with HOPE AND WONDER, okay. And I can totally work with the power you have set for the apprentice!

i thought that his HOPE AND WONDER would make for a good juxtaposition to the fact that SHE IS SO EMBITTERED BY WHAT HAPPENED TO HER. like once upon a time she was very much tralalalla let me watch amongst the trees and be one with nature and shit, and then BAM a tree for like THOUSANDS OF YEARS WITH A LEADEN HEART. but i think she WANTS to remember how to be full of hope and wonder, she's just forgotten how to.

...How would Milen feel about chasing around Hermes all day? His power would be speed, but someone enthusiastic and dedicated is needed to take care of that trickster without burning out.

Also, how would Pathos feel about having to be a master for Pestilence, who would have to basically be a schedule keeper for him, will be virtually ignored and avoided, and will be made sick/toyed with by a curious, introverted horseman?

Perhaps Finch for Persephone? She can be a lovely spring goddess, but she's got that darker underworld side, too -- and her apprentice is gifted with poison generation. Just... as long as he doesn't mind sometimes having to act out marital feuds with Hades' carers.

also — not sure if this is up dexter's alley but alecto (one of the furies) is still in need of an apprentice. currently, ally's working on a master for her, based off of dundee in the order (surprise surprise, and she's an au of aberdeen). but alector works as a scalphunter for the greco-roman house corporation. her master minder is capable of seeing a person's guilt and the apprentice is meant to be able to compel the truth out of somebody, BUT i could also work that around to instead be able to see the true nature of somebody's soul? not totally unlike the master's power, though the master will then subsequently be able to compel that guilt and use it against them through retribution. the apprentice is more JUST BEING ABLE TO TELL WHETHER SOMEBODY IS A GOOD OR BAD PERSON, though i'm also open to suggestions, too, if you're keen.

excellente. i think dexter's skills would be right now the furies' alley since they do the dirtywork for the company and would need not necessarily muscle or firepower but just good instincts, etc, so i can see him being dragged along. i don't think that koke has minders yet for tisiphone but i imagine dexter will have to be shoved together with them and ian QUITE A LOT.

Would you like either Pathos or Blanchy to come and work with Gabriel? My ideas for Gabe's handlers were originally that they worked in the huge angelic law firm BUT what position is up to you! Also the powahh is totally flexible (originally telepathy for the master) but I reckon both master and apprentice would get a bit of light manipulation as well.

I think working for Gabriel would be right up Blanchard's alley! And while he might not be a lawyer himself, he could totally be the connection between the firm and whatever goes behind the scenes with the media. OR SOMETHING. Basically when he shows up you know there's gonna be some negotiatin' (or just plain IF YOU DON'T DO AS I SAY YOU WILL GET IN SOME DEEP SHIT SON) and secret keepin'. I CAN TOTALLY GO WITH TELEPATHY FOR HIM.

OKAY so basically styx is NOT REALLY A GOD, but still an immortal since she's essentially 'the soul' of the river of hate in the underworld. she functions as the oathkeeper to the gods and even zeus himself is unwilling to break a vow sworn on styx. so as a result she's actually very highly respected by the gods even though she's not a god herself; and i think when she's got her shit together, she is a force to be reckoned with and taken very seriously. PROBLEM IS:

as a river, she served as the boundary between the world of the living and the dead which charon used to paddle folks over and, in crossing, she would revisit the self-torment and ire of a soul's life upon them. SO DESPITE BEING SOMETHING VERY IMPORTANT SHE'S ASLO SORT OF MAD as in CRAZY since she's had millenia of having to deal with and doling out everybody's self-loathing for all that while. she herself was responsible for damning her lover Phlegethon to eternal torment (he now is the river of fire who burns mens souls) and so styx also is tasked with torturing HERSELF. so she's half there and on the ball and really a classy lady whose fun to be around and half the time sort of a shrieking weeping mess set on her own self-torment. LIKE I SAID. A HANDFUL.
